Harnaaz Sandhu's stumble on stage proves her true strength as she gracefully finishes her reign as Miss Universe
Harnaaz Sandhu, the reigning Miss Universe, passed on the crown to her successor R'Bonney Gabriel,
from the United States, at the Miss Universe pageant. Harnaaz made history in December 2021 as the third
woman from India to win the coveted title, following in the footsteps of Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta.
Her emotional journey came to an end as she took her final walk on the Miss Universe stage, becoming teary-eyed
and giving an emotional speech to the viewers and the new Miss Universe. Despite a small stumble on stage,
Harnaaz recovered gracefully, showcasing the poise and elegance of a true queen. During the ceremony,
Harnaaz paid tribute to her predecessors by wearing a black gown with pictures of Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta's
winning moments from the pageant, embellished on the dress. She also reflected on her journey, saying,
"I was 17-years-old when I first took the stage and since then becoming Miss Universe was my goal.
